Small Group Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi
Embrace the incredible energy of India after arriving in vibrant Delhi, and meet your fellow travelers and Tour Leader (or local guide).

Hotel: Maidens Hotel (or similar)

Day 2: Delhi City Tour
Discover Delhi's highlights including Humayun's Tomb and Rajpath, home to India's government buildings, President's residence and India Gate. In Old Delhi, take a bicycle rickshaw through the chaotic streets of Chandni Chowk, discover Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India, and wander along one of the area's most famous food streets to sample local delicacies. At a Sikh temple, visit a communal kitchen and watch volunteers prepare free meals for thousands of devotees.

Day 3: Delhi to Agra
Travel to Agra, and explore the imposing fort while gaining your first glimpses of the Taj Mahal. Visit a marble inlay workshop to see the intricate craftsmanship and skill required to make each piece.

Day 4: Agra to Ranthambore National Park
See the Taj Mahal at dawn as you enter through the West Gate. Spend time exploring the main tomb, pavilions and gardens before returning to your hotel for a late breakfast. Drive through the Rajasthan countryside to Sawaii Madhopur, home to Ranthambore National Park.

Day 5: Ranthambore National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive through Ranthambore National Park in search of wildlife including tigers. Following a late breakfast, visit a women's cooperative that makes handicrafts. In the late afternoon, embark on a second game drive.

Day 6: Ranthambore National Park to Jaipur
Depart for Jaipur, affectionately called the 'Pink City'. Discover the royal observatory on a walking tour before spending some free time exploring the town's popular bazaar street. This evening, you have the option of joining your Tour Leader (or local guide) to watch a Bollywood movie in one of India's finest Art Deco cinemas.

Day 7: Jaipur City Tour
See a traditional milk market before admiring the façade of the Hawa Mahal. Sample possibly the best chai in Jaipur at a local tea shop. Spend a few hours discovering the beautiful architecture and decorations at Amber Fort. Return to town and visit a carpet-weaving and batik-printing workshop before going on a guided walking tour of Jaipur bazaar. This evening, enjoy dinner with a local family in their historic haveli home.

Day 8: Jaipur to Pushkar
Travel to Pushkar when during this time each year, the town hosts one of India's favorite festivals – the colorful Pushkar mela. After settling into your tented accommodation, begin exploring the festival grounds where nomadic herds people and traders from all around Rajasthan and beyond, converge for one of the world's largest livestock fairs.

Day 9: Pushkar Festival
Enjoy more time further exploring the festival grounds and activities. There's ample free time today for you to explore Pushkar town independently.

Day 10: Pushkar to Jodhpur
Enjoy a final walk around the festival grounds before driving to Jodhpur, also known as the 'Blue City'.

Hotel: Ranbanka Palace (or similar)

Day 11: Meherangarh Fort
Visit imposing Meherangarh Fort, arguably one of India's most impressive forts and a dominating feature of the city. Enjoy the magnificent views of the 'Blue City' below before walking down to the city's colorful bazaar where you have free time to explore independently.

Day 12: Jodhpur to Udaipur
Depart Jodhpur and drive further west to the famous lake city of Udaipur. En route, stop at the celebrated temples of Ranakpur, a major pilgrimage site for devotees of the Jain faith. Arrive in Udaipur and walk through narrow alleyways to reach your hotel located in the old town.

Day 13: Udaipur City Tour
Begin your exploration of Udaipur with a heritage walk through some of the lively laneways. Continue to the City Palace which offers sweeping views over the town and Lake Pichola. Enjoy some free time before a cruise on the lake (water levels permitting) followed by a farewell dinner.

Day 14: Udaipur
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
