Travel from the capital, Beijing, to the Sichuan capital of Chengdu, hitting all the highlights on the way, from the countless lifelike Terracotta Warriors to the Great Wall, and the picture perfect landscapes of Yangshuo. Delve beneath the surface, practice Tai Chi and cycle backroads to charming villages for a deeper understanding of this enticing land.
DAYS 1-3: BEIJING
On arrival in Beijing, transfer to your hotel. Be awestruck by the incredible expanse of Tiananmen Square before continuing on foot to the splendid Forbidden City. Head into one of Beijing's few remaining hutongs, or back streets, for lunch in a local home and a fun rickshaw ride. See the city's iconic Drum Tower and then witness an incredible acrobatic performance. Journey to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and take the chance to dine on a delectable Peking Duck dinner before boarding a comfortable overnight train to Xian.

DAYS 4-5: XIAN & GUILIN
Wander through the beguiling Muslim Quarter and stop at the Big Goose Pagoda. In the evening you might like to indulge in a sumptuous dumpling banquet. Marvel at the overwhelming number of intricately detailed Terracotta Warriors and then fly to Guilin, one of China's most attractive cities. Stroll along the peaceful riverfront and amble through the night market.

DAYS 6-9: YANGSHUO & CHENGDU
Cruise slowly along the Li River to soak up the region's renowned limestone karst scenery. In charming Yangshuo take part in a Tai Chi lesson and explore local villages by bicycle. You may also like to take in a traditional evening show. Return to Guilin for your flight to Chengdu. Meet with the splendid creatures at the Giant Panda Research & Breeding Base, and then unwind in the peaceful cottage gardens of Dufu, a famed poet from the Tang Dynasty. Soak up local life as you relax in a teahouse in bustling People's Park. Spend the evening enjoying a farewell dinner. On your last day, enjoy free time until your departure transfer.
